StationZero
Your home. Your hardware. Your call. Edge-native home safety. The footage stays on your network.
Safety, not surveillance.
Surveillance is what someone else does to you with cameras. Safety is what you do for the people in your home.
The industry sold cloud cameras to get vendor lock-in. Footage on their cloud. Account in their app. Subscription on their schedule. Safety was the pitch; capture was the play. StationZero is built for the other case. The intelligence runs on your hardware. The footage stays on your network. Nothing about your home leaves it unless you explicitly send it.
Three responses.
Silent. Routine activity. Known occupants moving through the home as they always do. The system stays out of the way; you are not interrupted.
Notify. Something worth knowing about. A package delivered. A new face in the yard. A door opened. You get a notification — not an alarm.
Escalate. Something that needs help right now. A child near a hazard with no adult around. A stranger lingering after a delivery. A fall. The system escalates to emergency contact.
What that looks like.
Three scenarios:
- A small child walks out by the pool. No adult is around. Escalation to emergency.
- A package is delivered. Notification, no alarm. A stranger lingers in the distance afterward. Escalation.
- A grandparent walks through the home. Silent. They stumble. Silent. They fall. Escalation to emergency.
The system reads context across time, not frames in isolation. The fall is escalated because of the stumble that preceded it. The lurker is escalated because of the delivery that preceded them.
Cameras you choose.
The cameras you choose pair with the compute node — from a tested list of options that work. Not a closed ecosystem locked to one vendor. An open ecosystem with a quality floor.
Cloud cameras send your footage upstream to the company that made them. Vendor ecosystems lock you to one app, one account, one company’s pricing forever. StationZero rejects both. You buy cameras from the list. You buy the compute node once. The footage stays on your storage.
Yours to keep.
Buy the StationZero hub once. No subscription. No recurring payments. It’s hardware you own, not a service you keep paying to access. The footage you record stays on the storage you control.
The hub is yours. The footage is yours. The decisions are yours.
What StationZero is
- Edge-native — runs on the compute node in your home, not in a cloud you don’t see.
- Three-tier response — Silent for routine, Notify for known-of-interest, Escalate for help-now.
- Context-aware — reads what happens over time, not frames in isolation.
- Quality-floor open ecosystem — cameras you choose, from a tested list.
- Yours by construction — footage on your storage; decisions on your hardware.
What StationZero is not
- Not a cloud camera service. Footage doesn’t go to anyone else’s computer.
- Not a closed ecosystem. You’re not locked to one vendor’s cameras.
- Not a subscription. You bought the hub; you own it.
- Not a surveillance system. Safety is what you do for the people in your home; surveillance is what someone else does to you.
Stage.
StationZero is in design and validation. The POC target is Q4 2026 — initial demo hardware is in hand.
